iGaming Ontario has approved a new type of sports betting that allows licensed operators to offer gamers in the province the thrill of high-stakes casino-style jackpots along with the familiarity of sports predictions.

SuperPot, according to its makers at Delasport, will supplement sports betting in the province's fiercely competitive iGaming sector.

GLI has certified SuperPot.  SuperPot participants use a must-win system to forecast the results of several important sporting events.

The pot is gradually increased by their purchased tickets, resulting in a competition and a shared pool that expands with involvement.  One feature is real-time leaderboards, which resemble a betting competition.

Prediction and Casino-Style Jackpots

Even if a player doesn't properly forecast every outcome in a series of games, they still win if they have the most accurate predictions.  This increases excitement by guaranteeing a daily winner.  Because tickets are inexpensive, it's an easier and more economical approach for operators to attract gamers from the casino side to sports betting.  For those who already wager on sports, it improves the experience and makes winning easier.

In sports betting, actual money is wagered on particular outcomes, such as wins and losses, spreads, and totals, with payments based on predetermined odds established by a bookmaker.  Large parlays are more dangerous.  Unlike SuperPot, there is no shared prize pool or competitive aspect; instead, you either win based on the odds or lose your bets.

Ontario's First of Its Kind

Soccer, American football, baseball, basketball, tennis, and hockey are the six sports for which SuperPot allows predictions.  It makes it possible to combine various leagues and sports into one.

Sportsbook software solutions are supplied by Delasport to the iGaming sector.

$10 billion in revenue from sports betting

Ontario's sportsbook revenue is expected to reach approximately $10 billion in 2025, according to iGO.  According to Ferri, SuperPot may provide an additional 2%–4% in revenue.

Thirty-five of Ontario's fifty permitted iGaming firms provide sports betting platforms.
